The 2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV is the latest vehicle to get the automaker’s N Line treatment. The N Line represents Hyundai’s sportier and more aggressive take, and is part of the automaker’s overall N performance brand.
If this all sounds a little fuzzy, we’ll break it down.
The full-fledged N models like the Veloster N and Elantra N have higher-powered engines and other performance upgrades. Think of them as Hyundai’s equivalent to Mercedes’ AMG models or BMW’s M cars.
Hyundai’s N Line cars are more aesthetic in nature, with sportier and more aggressive designs, but not necessarily more powerful engines. To keep our analogy going, they are like the similarly named AMG Line treatments for Mercedes-Benz vehicles or the M Sport design enhancements for BMW models.
The N Line availability is part of the bigger news that is the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. This 2-row/5-passenger compact SUV is totally revamped for the 2022 model year and features new looks inside and out, new technology, and a choice of powertrains including a hybrid and plug-in hybrid. It is slated to go on sale in mid-2021 with pricing expected to start around $25,000.
Hyundai hasn’t spilled all the details on what the Tucson N Line will bring to the table, or if this SUV variant will pack more power. But Hyundai does say the new Tucson N Line will “offer aggressive and distinctive exterior design features and differentiating interior details.” Opting for this model will also get you unique equipment and paint colors to help you further stand out.
