The next-generation 2019 Toyota Supra will likely be co-developed with BMW’s upcoming sports car, reportedly called the Z5 — and here’s what one or both models will reportedly look like, both inside and out. See the 2020 Toyota Supra models for sale near you
These shots likely show the upcoming Supra, which appears to be undergoing testing in Germany. We say that because previous sightings of the Z5 showed only a convertible, while the Supra is more likely to be a coupe — in keeping with the tradition of previous Supra models, which were primarily offered as coupes.
On the outside, the upcoming Supra looks surprisingly small, much like the current BMW Z4 and unlike the 1990s Supra. This suggests that the Supra (and the Z5) will likely offer a 2-seat layout and an overall length that’s shorter than the midsize Lexus RC and BMW 4 Series.
Inside, the interior appears to show a lot of BMW, including the brand’s steering wheel and some controls. This is no surprise, since rumors suggest that BMW is focusing on the car’s chassis and body, with Toyota offering up a hybrid power plant.
Aside from these photos and a few development rumors — like a launch date of sometime in 2018 — BMW and Toyota have been relatively tight-lipped about the upcoming Supra and Z5. We’re excited to see more of these cars as they’re rolled out over the next year or two. Find a 2020 Toyota Supra for sale
