The first image of Infiniti's all-new seven-passenger JX crossover has arrived. Revealed July 7 on Facebook, the picture kicks off the luxury brand's "Power of 7" social media campaign designed to spark interest in the new crossover ahead of its official unveiling next month.

Revealing a headlight, wheels, and much of the JX's profile, the first image of Infiniti's large crossover indicates a strong resemblance to the rest of the Infiniti family. The automaker plans to release a new image on its Facebook page every Thursday at 7:07 AM for the next seven weeks, emphasizing the JX's seven-passenger seating configuration.

Infiniti will reveal the full JX Concept at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18. Two of Infiniti's lucky Facebook fans will even win a trip to see the JX Concept unveiled live at the Concours, one of the world's foremost vintage car shows.

Following the debut of the JX Concept, Infiniti will show off the production version - expected to heavily resemble the concept - this November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. According to Infiniti, the JX will reinvigorate the sometimes-bland seven-passenger crossover segment.

"Families don't have many luxury vehicle options today," said Ben Poore, vice president of Infiniti Americas. "The new Infiniti JX will be the 7-passenger antidote to the ho-hum luxury crossovers that are out there right now."

When the JX goes on sale next spring as a 2013 model, it will face stiff competition from the Mercedes GL450, Audi Q7 and Lincoln MKT, among others. It may even find a friendly rival in Infiniti's own QX56, though the larger QX utilizes traditional truck-based SUV construction rather than the JX's car-based crossover design.
