The upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show will play host to two world premieres for Nissan's upscale Infiniti brand. According to the automaker, a finalized version of the large JX crossover and a sporty new addition to the G convertible's lineup will make their world debuts at the show.

For most consumers, the JX will be Infiniti's most important debut in Los Angeles. While a concept version of the large crossover was shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August, the L.A. show marks the first time Infiniti will show the finalized production car.

But while the JX is officially making its world premiere, we expect the production-ready model will be largely similar to the concept Infiniti showed in Pebble Beach. That means expressive styling featuring Infiniti's large, muscular grille, a distinctively shaped rear D pillar, and three-row seating for up to seven passengers.

While Infiniti won't release any more information about the JX until the L.A. show, we have some ideas about further details. Like many of its competitors, the JX will likely feature V6 power, and is expected to offer a standard continuously-variable automatic transmission. And while the automaker hasn't announced pricing for the crossover, we expect to see base figures in the low- to mid-$40,000 range.

For performance car enthusiasts, the sporty new IPL G convertible will be the star of Infiniti's display in Los Angeles. Released in thinly disguised concept form at the Paris Motor Show last year, the IPL G convertible will serve as a sportier version of the automaker's more traditional droptop G37.

Expected to mirror the specs of the recently released IPL G coupe, the convertible will feature subtle interior and exterior modifications designed to betray the car's sporty character, along with a 348-horsepower version of the regular G37's V6 under the hood. Other upgrades include enhanced suspension for a firmer ride and improved handling, specialized "IPL" interior and exterior badging, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels.

While Infiniti has not announced further details about the JX and IPL G convertible, we'll be on hand at the L.A. Auto Show when the new models are officially revealed to bring you more information.
