Forget about glitzy Detroit-inspired chrome accents. The new Jet Appearance Package announced on Thursday as a new option for the 2022 Lincoln Aviator dresses up the mid-size luxury SUV with shiny black trim all around.
The Jet name — a play on both “jet black” and the aviation theme — cancels out just about every bit of brightwork outside. Look for a black-chrome finish on the grille, rocker panels, mirror caps, roof rack trim, and tailgate, plus unique 22-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 20-inchers. The package builds on a previously available Monochromatic Reserve Package, which colors the rocker panel trim and lower front and rear bumpers to match the exterior rather than the standard unpainted gray plastic.
Lincoln has not said how much the Jet appearance package will add to the 2022 Aviator. However, the automaker did specify buyers can only order it on the mid-level Reserve trim level. The Jet package is only available in Pristine White, Infinite Black, Silver Radiance, or Burgundy Velvet exterior paint hues.
The base Aviator costs just shy of $53,000, while the Aviator runs about $58,500. All in, a range-topping Aviator Black Label with every option selected is priced at nearly $85,000. See Lincoln Aviator models for sale
