Van drivers will tell you how critical their vehicles are for countless businesses, job sites and distribution centers around the world. What makes the MasterSolutions program so seamless is how it makes shopping for new van parts a breeze: The most common van upfit configurations can be ordered directly from the dealer.
Simplicity Is Key
In a statement, Mathias Geisen, general manager of product management, MBUSA Vans, said the simplicity of MasterSolutions is what sets it apart. “Ordering a van with a turn-key upfit solution will be easier than ever. In combination with highly skilled upfitter partners Auto Truck Group, Knapheide and Smartliner, getting the perfect Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner van for your specific needs has never been more convenient.”
Buy, Baby Buy
Interested buyers simply visit MBVans or Freightliner Vans, or visit a nearby Mercedes-Benz Vans or Freightliner Sprinter Vans dealership. After identifying what vocation they’re purchasing a van for, they’re given a choice of vans best suited for their needs.
After their preferred model is chosen, the second shopping phase begins. The upfit solutions are presented a la carte, including specialty partitions and commercial passenger setups. At the end of the configuration process, the customer takes away an “out the door” estimate for the van and outfit, including all the a la carte options selected.
Once the van is ordered, it’s shipped from the Mercedes-Benz Vans plant in South Carolina to one of the MasterSolutions upfitters, where the upfit is installed prior to delivery to a dealership or fleet location.
By letting the dealer manage the upfit process, customers can get what they need faster and at more affordable rates. Also, the quality of the upfit remains consistent.
