In an effort to boost sales and attract younger drivers, Mini has started a “Tweet to Test Drive” campaign. It’s an easy way to test drive a new Mini Cooper Countryman for anyone who lives in San Francisco or in Los Angeles and has a Twitter account.
Here’s how it works. For the month of November, you can tweet #MINIonDemand to @MINIUSA. When you do, you’ll get a link where you can sign up to test drive a Mini Cooper Countryman for free. You enter where you want the car delivered and schedule your test drive. Once you submit your order, the car will be dropped off at your door at the scheduled time.
This promo is only available for the Mini Countryman. The Countryman is Mini’s biggest offering. It’s a subcompact SUV with five seats and available all-wheel drive making it good for all climates in all seasons. It’s also the brand’s most family-friendly model with a decent amount of space inside for passengers and cargo.
The promotional test drive will last 30 minutes and the cars can be brought to your home or your office. It’s done through a new tech platform called Fooji. Whether or not this promo will expand to more markets or to a wider variety of Mini models is unknown, but that could be the case if the new pilot program goes well.
If you’ve been interested in checking out a Mini Countryman and you live in one of the two areas where the “Tweet to Test Drive” campaign is active, this is a good chance to take the charming little crossover for a spin.
Whatever you do, Sell it when the warranty expires!
