The minivan market is highly competitive. That means it can be hard to find the right van, but it also means that automakers frequently offer attractive incentives and deals to outshine the competition. We’ve combed through several great offers available this month to bring you a list of attractive deals on a few of our favorite vans.
Dodge Grand Caravan
Dodge is offering attractive incentives for all shoppers, whether they intend to finance, lease or pay cash for a new minivan in June. The automaker says cash buyers can take up to $1,500 back on all new 2012 Grand Caravan models, while qualified buyers interested in financing the minivan can get 0 percent interest for up to 60 months plus $500 cash back. Dodge is also offering lease rates of just $279 per month on the minivan after $2,999 at signing; that’s a lower monthly payment than most rivals are offering on their deals.
The perennial favorite Honda Odyssey is offered with impressive lease terms and and low interest rates throughout June. For shoppers interested in purchasing the van, Honda is offering interest rates as low as 0.9 percent for up to 60 months-a surprisingly long term for such a low rate. Lease customers will find an even better deal, with monthly payments starting from just $289 after $1,999 at signing. For shoppers who don’t want to put anything down, Honda is also offering a rare zero-down lease deal with monthly payments of $340. We prefer that offer to the other lease program, because it comes out slightly less expensive at the end of the 35-month term.
The Mazda5 is smaller than most of its minivan rivals, but it still offers convenient dual sliding doors, three rows of seats and a long list of standard safety features including curtain side airbags, an anti-skid system and standard ABS. Its miserly 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine produces just enough power for the small-size van and achieves a frugal 28 miles per gallon in highway driving. The Mazda5 is available to qualified buyers throughout June with 0.9 percent interest for up to 60 months, giving shoppers an extra reason to add the pint-size minivan to their lists.
Two strong incentives make Nissan’s quirky Quest worthy of serious consideration in June. According to the automaker, cash buyers can get rebates of up to $2,750 on all 2012 Quest models. That’s one of the top cash back offers in the segment. Buyers looking to finance will also enjoy an excellent deal, with interest rates as low as 1.9 percent for up to 60 months plus up to $1,000 cash back. To us, both offers are enticing, considering the van’s fresh new styling, its long list of standard features and a standard V6 that produces a muscular 260 horsepower.
Volkswagen’s mid-size Routan comes with some attractive offers in June. Among them is the lowest monthly lease rate in the minivan market: just $249 per month after $2,999 at signing. But Volkswagen’s incentive to buyers looking to finance the minivan is arguably even better: 0 percent interest for 72 months, a term that also outshines all other minivan rivals. For buyers who can’t quite justify purchasing a new van, Volkswagen is also touting a special June offer of 1.99 percent interest for up to 48 months on all of its certified pre-owned vehicles.
