A couple of years ago, Porsche announced that it’d be making a station wagon version of its Panamera hatchbacks-sedan thing. Later, Porsche announced this would be called the Panamera Sport Turismo — and, indeed, it is a station wagon version of the Panamera, albeit with only a small increase in cargo volume compared to the original version.
Unfortunately, the Panamera Sport Turismo is quite pricey. The 6-cylinder base model starts from $98,500 with shipping and before Porsche’s copious options. Right now, the very cheapest Panamera Sport Turismo on Autotrader has a sticker price of over $105,000, meaning these things — cool as they are — aren’t very affordable.
But that’s changing fast. If you take a look at used and certified pre-owned (CPO) Panamera Sport Turismo models, you’ll see that several are already listed for sale for under $90,000 — already at least 15% off the original sticker price. That’s a big deal, because the very first model year of this car was just 2018, meaning these are only a year old. One year and they’ve already lost $15,000 (or, likely, more like $20,000) in depreciation.
I’m thrilled by this, because it means the Panamera Sport Turismo may become really cheap someday soon — like $30,000 to $40,000 cheap, which would make it a really, really desirable used car: the Porsche brand name and performance combined with a cool wagon body style and a reasonable price. I’ll eagerly wait for the day when that happens — and I suspect I won’t end up waiting all that long. Find a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo for sale
