There's a new "most expensive car" on Autotrader: this 2014 McLaren P1, which is offered by McLaren Houston for an impressive $2,125,000. That's big money -- but then again, it's not like you'll easily find another: This is the only P1 on Autotrader, and it's one of just 375 units reportedly made for the entire world.

So let's go through the particulars. This P1 was originally sold new by McLaren Dallas, which is about 3.5 hours away from its current location at McLaren Houston. Interestingly, McLaren Houston's Autotrader ad for this P1 displays the original window sticker, which lists an MSRP of $1.2 million -- far below its current asking price. But that's no surprise: Demand for the P1 far exceeded the car's production totals, meaning some drivers who desired a P1 weren't among the original 375 to get one -- resulting in higher prices on the used market.

Of course, it's easy to see why demand was so high: The P1's powertrain made an amazing 904 horsepower between the 3.8-liter turbocharged V8 and the electric motor. Zero to 60 came in 2.8 seconds, and the P1 is supposedly capable of hitting 249 miles per hour with its speed limiter removed. And then there's the styling, which is laughably ridiculous. Just look at those brake lights.

This particular P1 has traveled 7,700 miles since it was originally sold in September 2014, which is a big figure for the exotic sports car -- since they're normally confined to climate-controlled garages and polished with microfiber towels. Its sole owner had it in Spring, Texas, which is a Houston suburb. And now, ladies and gentlemen, it can be yours. All you have do is come up with $2,125,000.
