The already-luxurious and monstrously expensive Bentley Mulsanne is growing for the 2017 model year -- and we mean that literally. Bentley has just announced that its 2017 Mulsanne will feature a long-wheelbase version, aimed mostly at the Asian market, for customers who prefer to be driven rather than drive themselves.

Although the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase (EWB), as it's called, almost certainly won't be as popular in America (where shoppers tend to prefer driving themselves), Bentley says it's still coming here -- likely in very small numbers. Naturally, it's also coming with the traditional Bentley array of rich cabin materials, high-end woods, and leather and tailor-made options.

Under the hood, the EWB Mulsanne carries the same motor as the current standard-wheelbase model: a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 505 horsepower and an impressive 752 lb-ft of torque, capable of bringing the sedan to an impressive 184 miles per hour. The price tag for the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne EWB is currently unknown. But given that the current Mulsanne starts at around $305,000 before you start getting into Bentley's crazy personalization options, we can be sure that it won't be cheap.
