Welcome to the first-ever Autotrader.com/Oversteer Friday Photo Contest, featuring your host, me, Doug DeMuro.

Here's how it works: Every Friday, I'm going to launch the Friday Photo Contest with a new automotive-related topic. For instance, I might say, "Find the reddest fire truck." Or I could say, "Find a car that looks like a dog." Then you'll set out, camera phone in hand, searching for a vehicle that matches these guidelines.

When you find your submission, you'll send it to me at OversteerDoug@gmail.com by the following Thursday evening. I'll anxiously read your submissions, eager to pick that week's winner, and just as eager to laugh at those of you whose photos didn't quite make the cut. ("Ha ha ha," I will say. "THAT doesn't look like a dog! That looks like a platypus!")

Eventually, we might also have prizes -- but right now, we only have one simple reward: a boost to your ego. But this isn't just a normal ego boost. This is a huge ego boost, because if you win this week, you'll win the first contest ever. Imagine if we're still doing this in 20 years, and your name is always remembered as the first winner of all time. You'll be a legend. You'll be like the first guy who had his name etched on the Stanley Cup.

So anyway, on to the first week's topic: Spot the most ridiculous pickup truck. Lifted, lowered, painted, rusty, old, new -- whatever you got. Send it to me. The only rule is that you have to have seen it this week. Not last week. Not last month. Not in 1979, and you still have the photo, but it's a bit hard to see because it was flooded during Hurricane Andrew.

This rule will be enforced using the honor system. And if I ever catch anyone cheating, I will ban them from playing for life, or at least until I forget their names.

So have at it! Start looking for ridiculous pickup trucks, and send your submissions to OversteerDoug@gmail.com by next Thursday night.
