I’ve been using our long-term 2017 Nissan Armada as my daily driver for around a month now, and until last week, the most I had put in the cargo area was $250 worth of groceries from Publix. However, as my family and I were getting ready to take a week-long beach vacation, I realized we had the perfect opportunity to test how well a family of four’s luggage would fit in the Armada’s cargo space.
We had: Three large suitcases. Three backpacks. Two car seats in travel bags. One umbrella stroller.
It all fit neatly inside the Armada’s 49.9 cu ft. of cargo space with the third row folded flat. Compared to two of the most recent press cars I’ve been driving, that’s a little more space than the Honda Pilot (46.8 cu ft.), and quite a bit less than the Chrysler Pacifica (87.5 cu ft.). Of course, you could say that not a lot of people would cross-shop these three vehicles, but as a mom with young kids, I tend to disagree. The Armada, Pilot and Pacifica are three of the few cars on the market that can be had with second row captain’s chairs. So if that’s your number one criteria, you may end up looking at this trio, among others, and cargo capacity might come up next.
All of our stuff fit in the 2017 Nissan Armada with room to spare, and I could see clearly out the rear window on my way to the airport. Space is clearly not an issue with this bad boy. Find a 2017 Nissan Aramada for sale
