For the past few days, we’ve been playing with the infotainment system of our long-term 2017 Subaru Impreza. We really enjoy the brightness of the screen and visual layout of the system. It is very clear and simple to navigate. The touchscreen provides mobile phone or tablet-like gestures that are familiar for the majority of people today.
When you need to make adjustments to any settings (sound, vehicle, etc.), Subaru made it so that your choices are all in one place. They have created a tab feature, where you can choose phone, radio, etc. to quickly access the settings. In other competitors’ systems, it can be difficult to find what you need in order to make an adjustment.
When trying to find a channel within satellite radio, you can type in the station you want. However, you are unable to do that in FM/AM. Also, the system will not let you do a direct input when driving to change a station. When making phone calls, it will allow you to type your numbers in certain situations. Some competitors’ systems allow you to control the system however you like, which we prefer.
Apple CarPlay works great in the 2017 Subaru Impreza. It is a flawless transition. The Harman Kardon audio system, which is an upgrade with the EyeSight package, is very bass happy. However, it’s a quality sound system for the class. Find a 2017 Subaru Impreza for sale
