The Oscars are all about glamour, style and over-the-top everything. And that goes especially for the parties, which happen all week long, leading up to the ceremony this Sunday (Feb. 27). What better opportunity for car companies to get their latest and greatest in front of a star-studded audience than to partake in the festivities. Here’s what Range Rover, Chrysler, Audi, GM and Mercedes have on the social agenda.

Range Rover

Georgina Chapman, who is half of the design duo for the brand Marchesa and also married to film guru Harvey Weinstein, is in the midst of a year-long collaboration with Range Rover. As always, the designer will be dressing a number of celebrities for the Oscars, and she and her team will go to fittings, meetings and parties in the Marchesa-branded Range Rover Evoque (which comes out later this year).

Chrysler

Chrysler has partnered with Vanity Fair for a week’s worth of festivities, starting with a party at District on Sunset in Hollywood Monday night. The event, celebrating best picture nominee The Fighter, had plenty of recognizable faces in the crowd, including nominee Amy Adams and past Oscar winners Helen Mirren and Cuba Gooding Jr. Adams, along with other stars, signed a white Chrysler 300 that will be on display all week (collecting signatures along the way), which will be auctioned off after the Oscars, with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. V.I.P. guests can request a chauffeured Chrysler 300 to drive them to any of the week’s Vanity Fair events.

Mercedes-Benz

Just like they did for Fashion Week, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force will hit the streets of L.A. in their CLS63 AMG to track down stylish trend-setters all week long. On Thursday, it’s all about the new F-Cell Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that’ll be on display for the Hollywood Domino event at the Sunset Tower Hotel. (Plenty of celebrities are expected to attend.) According to a spokesperson, they also plan to have a few A-listers arriving at a couple V.I.P. events in the only-available-in-California B-Class F-Cell. And once again, the brand will host its annual Oscar Viewing Party at the exclusive West Hollywood venue, Soho House, where a new 2012 CLS63 AMG, SLK and F-Cell will all be on display.

Audi

Audi will also provide chauffeured vehicles–2011 A8s–to various venues and events around L.A. this week, including the Women in Film Oscars Party on Friday, the Weinstein Company Pre-Oscars Party on Saturday and the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party on Sunday. It’s a great way for celebrities to party hop in style.

GM

On Wednesday night, GM will co-host the Global Green pre-Oscar Party and feature the 2011 Chevy Volt. The event, which will be held at Avalon in Hollywood, benefits Global Green USA and its national initiatives to fight climate change by creating green schools, homes and communities. Four Volts will be available to chauffeur celebrities and other V.I.P.s to and from the event. Solange Knowles is scheduled to DJ, and the event committee consists of bold-face names including Orlando Bloom, his wife Miranda Kerr, Jim Carrey and Kate Bosworth. You can watch the event unravel on GM’s blog site.
