Although every Lamborghini is special, some Lamborghini models are a bit more special — and more exciting — than others. Today I’ve rounded up five of the best special Lamborghini models currently listed for sale on Autotrader, all of which have astronomical price tags to match their rarity and desirability. All of these cars are surely destined for wealthy car collectors, but it’s fun to dream about how they might be ours.
Although the majority of Lamborghini listings on Autotrader are for Huracans, Aventadors, Gallardos and Murcielagos, the Countach is still an icon — and there are a few listed for sale on Autotrader. This red one is absolutely handsome, and it’s offered for $350,000 by Lamborghini of Beverly Hills with a black interior, gold wheels and just 5,711 miles on the odometer.
The Lamborghini LM002, affectionately called the "Rambo Lambo," was Lambo’s original attempt at an SUV — with a screaming V12 up front, 4-wheel drive, special tires made to drive on sand and a manual transmission. LM002 models are tremendously scarce, but this white one is listed for sale at Cats Exotics in the Seattle, Washington area. It’s a 1988 model with a black interior and around 34,000 miles — and while price is unlisted, it surely isn’t cheap.
The Lamborghini Diablo SV, for "Super Veloce" — or "Super Fast" — is a special high-performance version of the Diablo with 510 horsepower, 430 lb-ft of torque, and rear-wheel drive. The SV was only made for a few model years and they’re hard to find, so nice Diablo SV models sell for a big premium over a regular Diablo. This is certainly a nice example, as it’s a well-kept model finished in white with a beige interior and just 5,200 miles. It’s offered by Prestige Imports in South Florida for $449,950.
The Lamborghini Huracan GTD is a race car version of the standard Huracan — and even though this particular car is listed as an Aventador, it’s actually one of the few Huracan GTD models ever made in all its glory, with slick tires, racing brakes, a roll cage and all the other necessary racing accoutrements. This isn’t a street legal Huracan, but rather a car for track drivers only — and it’s offered by Lamborghini Austin for a whopping $695,000.
This is the only example of the new and highly desirable Lamborghini Aventador SVJ currently listed for sale on Autotrader. Finished in red ("Rosso Mimir Matte") with a black interior, this SVJ has traveled just 500 miles from new — and it’s currently offered by Luxury Auto Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona, near Phoenix, for $695,000. That’s big money, but the SVJ is a very special car.
