Lexus Complete Lease Program Offers New Perks to Leasing

One of the newest car subscription services, Lexus Complete Subscription joins the growing group of automaker (OEM) programs allowing subscribers to flip vehicles for one, convenient monthly payment.

What Is A Car Subscription Service?

Think of car subscription services as glorified leasing for the fickle. Anyone with a bulging wallet who likes the idea of moving effortlessly from one car to another or who has varying transportation needs may find a subscription service the ideal solution.

The monthly subscription fee covers use of the car, as well as auto-insurance coverage, all rolled into a consistent monthly payment. Usually, the subscription also covers scheduled maintenance, 24-hour roadside assistance and other perks. The frequency of  flips permitted varies from program to program.

What Does Lexus Complete Subscription Include?

Lexus designed its subscription service to allow subscribers to flip vehicles as often as once each month. This is Lexus, after all, so a subscriber can expect excellent customer service. Addressing the customer service promise is a personal concierge empowered to help you choose your next vehicle, prepare it and then help you during the pick-up process.

Additionally, the monthly fee includes full liability and physical-damage insurance coverage to the tune of a $500,000 limit with a $1,000 deductible. Lexus 24-hour roadside assistance, all scheduled maintenance and vehicle detailing are also included.

What Does Lexus Complete Subscription Cost?

As is the case with every OEM subscription service, there is an upfront, one-time activation fee/application fee/membership fee required by Lexus to get you started. For Lexus, the fee is $495 — about average among OEMs.

While some OEMs offer graduated tiers of vehicles with escalating monthly fees, Lexus currently has a single plan called “Agile.” It is $995 per month. Included in the plan is access to the ES and IS sedans, as well as the NX and RX crossovers. All available vehicles are within the last two model years. Model choice is based on availability.

Lexus does restrict monthly usage to 1,250 miles. It will assess a charge of $0.25 for every mile over the limit.

What Are the Basic Requirements to Join the Lexus Complete Subscription?

To become a subscriber, Lexus requires you be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license. You must have a current credit card. You must also be able to meet the program’s credit and driving record standards.

How Do I Get Started with the Lexus Complete Subscription?

The Lexus subscription program is administered by Toyota Financial Services (TFS). As with all of the OEM subscriptions, subscribing begins with downloading the app. Have your driver’s license and credit card handy because once downloaded, the app will prompt you to enter information for both.

You will need to agree to the $495 one-time membership fee, but neither it nor your first month’s $995 monthly fee will be charged to your credit card until your first vehicle is confirmed as ready to pick up.

Where Is the Lexus Complete Subscription Available?

Launched in October of 2019, Lexus is currently only offering its subscription in an area of the state of Washington, including Seattle, Olympia and Tacoma. At its launch, Lexus of Bellevue and Lexus of Tacoma were servicing subscriber’s needs. At this point, Lexus considers this a pilot program. Look for it to roll out to more areas if it proves popular.
