The K900’s 5.0-liter V8 cranks out 420 horsepower, and it’s so smooth and quiet that you might even think it’s electric. Kia will soon offer a cheaper 311-hp V6, but trust us — the V8’s worth the stretch. When you put your foot down in a top-of-the-line luxury car, there’s nothing like a stout yet refined V8 that’s ready for action.
Inside, the K900 takes aim at other top luxury sedans, and the results are impressive. The 9.2-inch display screen is as crisp and clear as any we’ve seen, while the 900-watt Lexicon audio system can make some serious sound. The front seats are perfectly shaped for all-day comfort, and there’s even a slick BMW-inspired shift lever. Rear Seat Fit for Royalty
The K900 is a large car, and it makes the most of that space in back. Even the standard K900’s back seat has ample thigh support and acres of legroom, while the optional VIP package adds reclining seats that take luxury to the next level. When you’re tucked in back there with the world whispering by outside, you might as well be in the first-class cabin of a high-speed train. These are arguably the best seats in the house.
Some luxury cars are known for their sporty handling, but the K900 is all about that pillow-soft ride. The suspension glides over potholes and rough surfaces, isolating you from impacts and road noise alike. Forget about fast lap times on racetracks and the firm suspensions that they require; when comfort matters most, the K900 has the goods.
Even though the K900 V8 comes standard with almost every imaginable feature, including a panoramic sunroof and LED headlights, it still costs thousands less than comparably equipped rivals from Germany and Japan. That’s one thing that hasn’t changed about Kia: It still gives you great bang for your buck. If you want an executive-class V8 luxury sedan, you’re not going to find a more affordable one than the K900.
