2017 Honda Civic Coupe: 5 Reasons to Buy – Video

If you’re looking for information on a newer Honda Civic, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Honda Civic Review

Have you noticed the redesigned Honda Civic on the road lately? You certainly won’t mistake it for anything else, and they seem to be popping up everywhere. Check out these five reasons to buy the reliable and attractive 2017 Honda Civic Coupe.

Attractive Design

If you take a good look at the Civic’s LED taillights and the rear of the car, that is where you really notice most of the redesign. Honda designers took it to another level. There are standard LED running lights, beautiful body lines along the side and a longer wheelbase than previous versions. The top-of-the-line Touring trim level sports 17-inch alloys, although 16-in alloys come standard.

Feature List

The Civic offers a ton of features in base form, however the EX-T trim level is outfitted very nicely. We are talking dual-zone climate, moonroof, heated front seats and heated mirrors. Move on up to the EX-L trim level, and there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, beautiful leather interior and a comfortable eight-way power driver seat. See the 2017 Honda Civic models for sale near you

Two Great Engines

Honda gave the Civic Coupe two engines. The standard is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder good for 158 horsepower. That engine is also good for 39 miles per gallon on the highway. The second choice and probably the favorite is the turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder, which kicks out a fun 174 horsepower. You can’t go wrong with either of these choices.

Safety Technology

Yes, a rearview camera does come standard, however middle trim levels get Honda’s LaneWatch blind spot camera. There is also a featured safety package called Honda Sensing, and it comes standard on the Touring trim level. It has some really impressive, innovative safety, like Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control, among others.

Fun Drive

As far as the drive itself, something to keep in mind is that the Civic Coupe does offer a manual transmission. So if you enjoy shifting, go for the six-speed manual. That said, though, don’t count out the CVT automatic, as it has really smooth shifting through the gears. We have to say, we enjoyed putting the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine through the corners.

Autotrader Says

If you haven’t seen it yet, you’ll get the privilege sooner rather than later, because this newer redesign is very appealing. Add on great technology, efficiency and Honda reliability, and the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe is definitely a great choice.
