You want to talk about a deep segment? Full-size truck shoppers these days have a ton of solid choices. We have five reasons to take the 2017 Nissan Titan over everyone else.

Redesign

Nissan decided it was time to redesign the Titan. This truck is sharp from every angle. A truck should start out up front nice and strong. That's what the Titan does with the grille. Moving on to standard 18-inch wheels and an impressive body design. Overall, the Titan boasts a more aggressive look.

Nissan Connect

Coming standard is a 5-in screen, but we recommend the upgraded 7-in. We also were really fond of the Nissan Connect interface. After you download the Nissan Connect app, you can do all sorts of cool stuff, like start your truck from your phone. If you have to have great sound, don't pass on the available 12-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system.

V8 Power

The Titan engine delivers an impressive 390 horsepower. With that kind of power, you are able to tow around 9,000 lbs, and haul some pretty hefty loads. It all comes from a 5.6-liter V8 and of course there is available 4-wheel drive for off-road enthusiasts.

Quality Cabin

Big trucks have big cabins, and the Titan is no exception. What you do, however, want with that space is to not have to reach and stretch for everything. The layout in the Titan is ideal, and within good reach. There is a soft-touch dash, and you can spruce things up with available wood-toned accents.

Premium Features

The Titan has all kinds of top-notch features like standard hill-start assist and push-button start. When you go for the top trim level Titan, they receive premium touches and options like a 360-degree view camera, rear-seat DVD entertainment system and even ventilated and heated front seats.

Nice Drive

Behind the wheel, the Titan more than holds its own with a solid 394 lb-feet of torque. There are others that have a higher towing capacity, but as far as an overall drive, the 7-speed automatic transmission delivers on ride quality.

Autotrader Says

There is no denying that the Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra are all tough competitors. Before you make a choice, do yourself a favor and don't overlook the 2017 Nissan Titan.
