If you’re looking for information on a newer Honda Accord, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Honda Accord Review
Honda has been at this a while, giving us an affordable, reliable, fun-to-drive sedan decade after decade. But the Honda Accord is really much more than that. Here are five reasons to buy the trusted yet completely new 2018 Honda Accord.
So the V6 option is now gone, but what remains are two great 4-cylinder engines. The first is a 192-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. The second is a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder rated at 252 hp. Also note the Accord still has a hybrid version.
Inside the Accord, you receive a standard 8-inch screen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A nice upgrade is the head-up display, which helps keeps your eyes on the road. Parents will really appreciate the available TeenSafe technology features the Accord offers. See the 2018 Honda Accord models for sale near you
Honda decided to redesign the Accord, and what it did was give the Accord a more substantial look. The final result is a beauty with tapering side windows and a fast roofline. You get stylish 17-in wheels on the EX-L trim level, even dual exhaust outlets.
If you’re seated in the back seat, you’ll appreciate the ample legroom. And headroom hasn’t changed despite the roof redesign, as they lowered the seats to compensate. All in all, the Accord has generous cabin space — even the trunk space checks in at a spacious 16.7 cu ft.
The Accord now has a wider track and longer wheelbase, which add to the driving experience. There’s even some improvement in the handling, making for a fun drive, especially in Sport mode. The cabin remains fairly quiet overall, and you can still opt for a manual transmission if you enjoy shifting. The feel is of a comfortable but sporty sedan.
The Honda Accord has been a top-seller for years. If you’re looking for a sedan, we think the new look, new tech and new engines are more than enough to keep the 2018 Honda Accord at the top of your test-drive list for years to come.
