2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid: 5 Reasons to Buy – Video

If you’re looking for information on a newer Toyota Camry Hybrid, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid Review

Most carmakers are still fairly new at producing a reliable hybrid vehicle. Toyota, however, has this hybrid car thing down — just ask any Prius owner. The larger midsize Camry hybrid is worth a drive. Check out these five reasons to purchase the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid.

Impressive Redesign

Toyota gave the Camry a redesign, and we have to say, the design team made some great decisions. The 2018 Camry is more muscular and sleeker than ever before, and comes standard with LED daytime running lights and 16-inch wheels. The middle trim levels, like the SE, boast impressive, sporty 18-in alloys and other sporty styling touches.

More MPG

The Camry Hybrid has fantastic mile-per-gallon numbers for any hybrid, let alone a midsize hybrid. The base LE trim level returns 53 mpg on the highway, which is pretty impressive. But that number drops slightly for higher SE and XLE trim levels. See the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid models for sale near you

Ride Quality

The Camry Hybrid engine won’t blow you away with amazing power, but it does deliver a solid and balanced ride. The comfortable drive comes from an electric motor paired with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. The CVT engine is rated at 208 combined horsepower — ample power for most driving needs.

Talk about loaded up. Inside the Camry Hybrid, there are all sorts of standard features, from push-button start and heated front seats to dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control and even a 7-in screen. The SE trim level has upgraded paddle shifters for more of a sporty feel. Available safety features include lane-departure warning, forward-collision mitigation and even a rear-view camera. You can also opt for a Bird’s Eye View Camera, too.

Reasonable Sticker

The Camry Hybrid starts just under $28,000. That’s a reasonable sticker, especially considering all the space you get from a midsize hybrid. Even the SE middle trim level starts under $30,000.

Autotrader Says

With more mpg and an impressive redesign, there’s a lot to like about the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Why not find out for yourself? It’s time to test drive one and start saving some serious bucks.
