Camry Q&A: Do they make it in a 5-speed?

Do they make it in a 5-speed?

From NJ Black Panther

AutoTrader: The short answer is no. Toyota Camrys with either the 4-cylinder or V6 engines come only with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Camry Hybrid has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to get the most efficiency out of the gas engine and electric motor. The 5-speed manual transmission that was offered in previous years is no longer available. Toyota said there simply weren’t enough shoppers interested in it. Some models are available with paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel for those who still like to choose their own gears.

    • I have a 1999 V6 5-speed manual with 170k miles in great shape.  I’m looking to sell the car in the next few months if anyone is interested.
