Buying a used car can be stressful — especially if you’re buying a used luxury car, since even simple repairs can be pretty costly. That’s where buying a certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle could ease your mind, save you some money and help you get into the car you’ve always wanted. Our latest video takes a closer look at what you get when you buy a certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz.
In order to qualify for Mercedes-Benz’s certified pre-owned program, vehicles must first meet several requirements. First, there’s a thorough check of the vehicle’s title and accident history. Additionally, a car can’t be certified unless it’s less than 6 years old with fewer than 75,000 miles. Finally, Mercedes-Benz technicians carry out a thorough 164-point inspection before a vehicle can earn its certified pre-owned warranty.
As for the warranty itself, Mercedes’ program offers 12 months of comprehensive coverage with no mileage restriction after the original warranty expires. Once the initial 12-month time frame is up, owners can renew the warranty for up to 2 more years at an additional cost. Mercedes’ certified pre-owned warranty requires no deductible for repair work, and it’s fully transferable if you decide to part with your car later.
As for perks, the Mercedes CPO warranty offers several, including 24-hour roadside assistance, trip-interruption coverage, special financing rates and a 7-day or 500-mile exchange privilege.
While a certified pre-owned luxury vehicle may cost a little more than other used cars, it pays dividends in peace of mind — and that’s hard to put a price tag on. Find a Certified Mercedes-Benz for sale
