Ram CPO Program: Video Overview

If you think new-car prices have gotten a little too expensive, you may instead want to consider a used car. But if you’re worried about repairs and maintenance, a certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle may be a better option for you. Certified pre-owned cars offer a manufacturer-backed warranty and other perks, in addition to a big discount compared to a brand-new model. In our latest video, we’re taking a look at Ram’s certified pre-owned program.

In order to qualify for Ram’s certified pre-owned program, a vehicle must meet several requirements. First, it must pass a thorough check of its title and accident history to make sure there’s no unseen damage. It also must undergo a rigorous inspection by trained technicians. And it must be 5 years old or less and have fewer than 75,000 miles on the odometer. Once it meets those criteria, Ram can add its certified pre-owned warranty to the vehicle.

Ram’s certified pre-owned program offers a 7-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that begins when the car is originally sold. It also offers a 3-month or 3,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, which begins when the original 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty begins. Drivers can also purchase additional coverage if they want it.

Should you have an issue with a certified Ram, there’s a $100 deductible per visit, and then you can take your truck to any Ram dealer for repairs. A Ram CPO warranty is also fully transferable for a small fee, though some of the extra-cost warranty plans can’t be transferred to subsequent owners.

Although certified pre-owned vehicles tend to be more expensive than traditional used models, they often offer substantial peace of mind, and for many drivers, that’s worth the extra cost. Find a Certified Pre-Owned Ram for sale
