Spies Beware: Ford Is Using New Camo Techniques on Prototype Vehicles


We all love getting a sneak peek at a yet-to-be released new car model, right? Well, the folks at Ford are developing new ways to camouflage their test vehicles and prevent spy photographers from getting good images of their prototype vehicles. Through the use of optical illusion patterns and other concealing tactics, Ford engineers are attempting to do away with the heavy vinyl cladding most automotive enthusiasts are familiar with. These new camouflage tactics are helping the automaker maintain its competitive edge and keep the lid on new designs until they are ready to be shown to the public.
