If you're interested in buying a new car, you're probably thinking about the usual features: a backup camera or heated seats, or maybe power windows and keyless entry. But if you were thinking about buying an ultra-high-end luxury car, your thoughts are probably consumed by a totally different level of ridiculous, upscale equipment. Want to know what we mean? Here are five crazy features/options available in new cars that are (mostly) far outside our price range.

BMW Gesture Control

Who needs buttons? Not certain BMW models, which offer a nifty alternative -- a feature called Gesture Control that allows you to swipe your hand in the air in order to perform certain vehicle functions. Of course, it takes a little practice (and, in some cases, some custom configuring), but after a few short minutes of getting the hang of it, you'll be waving around your hand in order to change music tracks, raise or lower the volume and more. Spend an hour using this feature, and you'll start to believe the future of automotive convenience is already here.

Custom Colors

You know how you can get a new car in blue -- or maybe red, or maybe black -- depending on what's on the dealership lot? Not so if you're buying a seriously high-end luxury car. Many automakers, including Rolls-Royce, Porsche and Aston Martin, offer their customers the ability to choose a completely customized color of your choosing well beyond the standard color palette. Want to get your new Aston in the color of your favorite shoes? No problem. Want your Rolls-Royce to match your eyes? They'll do it. Of course, this sounds alluring, but there's one drawback to all this customization: It's going to cost you. Depending on the color, you might pay five figures beyond the price of standard paint.

Mercedes-Benz's Magic Sky Control

Mercedes' Magic Sky Control feature gives convertible drivers the best of all worlds. Want to have the open, airy feel of a convertible, even when the top is up? No problem. Mercedes models with this feature offer a glass roof that mimics everything about the convertible experience except for the wind rush. But what if you want some shade on a sunny day? That's when Magic Sky Control comes in, as it gives you the ability to tint your convertible top with the press of a simple button. In other words, it's like a window tint you can remove on a whim. Interestingly, you don't have to pay huge money for this feature, as Mercedes offers it on the entry-level SLK roadster.

Reclining Rear Seats

Of course, you've always known that luxury cars have huge back seats, but did you know that some top-end models offer rear-seat packages that include recliners in back? Such an option is available on opulent luxury sedans, including the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Mercedes-Maybach S600, and often includes massaging, rear-seat climate controls, sunshades, folding tray tables and even a refrigerated compartment for food or drinks. Of course, if you have the money for one of these cars, you'll be enjoying each of these items as your chauffeur guides the car from the driver's seat.

Rolls-Royce's Fiber-Optic Roof

One of our favorite high-end luxury options that often evokes a stare of disbelief is Rolls-Royce's fiber-optic roof feature, which -- this is completely true -- gives passengers the effect of being "under the stars" when they sit inside a Rolls-Royce, courtesy of up to 1,600 fiber-optic lights in the headliner. More ridiculous than the feature itself is the available customization: Rolls-Royce allows buyers to personalize the starry headliner in just about any configuration, including the arrangement of the stars on a certain day -- or to display a family crest or symbol.
