BMW has a remarkable lineup altogether, and their crossover SUVs are no exception. The X3 has a very appealing size: Not too big, not too small. Here’s a look at what the redesigned 2018 BMW X3 has to offer.
Whether you opt for the 4– or 6-cylinder X3, both are equipped with the 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The top engine is a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder that produces 355 horsepower. It also does 0-to-60 in 4.6 seconds, which is good for best-in-class. BMW presents a pretty thrilling driving experience even at the base level, but if you did want to add some performance, the M Sport package and Dynamic Handling package are some options to consider.
8-Inch Ground Clearance
Unlike other luxury crossovers, the X3 is also built for going off the beaten path. Most luxury crossovers look the part, but won’t really get down to business. With eight inches of ground clearance and labeled as a "Sport Activity Vehicle," the X3 is ready for whatever, whether it be snow, sand or dirt.
62.7 Cubic Feet
The X3 is technically a compact crossover. That may not sound like it has abundant space, but there is actually ample cargo space. Behind the 40/20/40-split seats is about 29 cu ft. With everything folded flat, there is a spacious 62.7 cu ft. That is generous amount of space.
The X3 is redesigned, and we have to say, this is one sharp vehicle. The standard feature list includes aluminum roof rails, a spoiler and LEDs. You can even opt for stylish 19-in alloys and black chrome exhaust tips.
There’s a ton of innovative safety available in the X3. Unfortunately, though, features like forward-collision warning and some of the driver assist features are an upgrade. It would be nice if some of that came standard.
There’s a lot to like about the X3, especially an impressive redesign. It may be time you put the stylish 2018 BMW X3 on your test drive list.
