If you are having trouble searching for a reliable and true family vehicle, the 2018 Toyota Highlander should be able to help. Here is a quick look at what the 3-row Highlander can offer you and your family.
8 Trim Levels
The selection of Highlanders Toyota offers is pretty vast with eight trim levels. With eight trim levels, you are pretty much bound to get a good amount of range, including some efficient hybrid trim levels. There is the base LE, which starts around $31,000. The top nonhybrid Limited trim level tacks on another $10,000, starting around $42,000.
32-mph Lane-Departure Safety
The Highlander offers a long list of safety features. We especially like the Lane-Departure Alert that activates when you hit 32 mph or higher. There is also available adaptive cruise control and a pre-collision system that can detect pedestrians.
On the technology front, you can opt for an 8-inch screen over the base 6.1-in one. Some other upgrades to consider are the birds-eye-view, 360-degree-view camera and a feature called Driver Easy Speak. The Driver Easy Speak puts a microphone up front and transmits sound to the rear speakers.
There is a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, as well, but the 3.5-liter 295-horsepower V6 is impressive. It can be had with either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, and actually the FWD V6 is more efficient than the 185-hp 4-cylinder, returning 27 miles per gallon on the highway. Also, the 3.5-liter V6 has an 8-speed transmission and is pretty quiet and smooth.
7- or 8-Passenger Seating
The Highlander can either seat seven, with available second row captain’s chairs, or eight passengers. Getting in the third row is fairly easy, however, if you are a taller adult, it’s pretty limited as far as legroom is concerned. The third row does recline for added comfort, which is an added bonus.
There are plenty of options when shopping for a family vehicle. But if you want to simplify the process and make family-vehicle shopping easier, it’s time to check out the stylish 3-row 2018 Toyota Highlander.
