The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck has been completely redesigned -- and we do mean completely. From its lighter but stronger frame to its new advanced powertrain options, it's been impressively engineered from the ground up to be more capable and efficient. And, as we discovered during our 2019 Silverado first drive review, it's also better to drive.
However, the changes go beyond the nitty-gritty of mechanical bits. In this video, we describe nine new or improved features in the new Silverado. These include the handy new towing cameras and a trailering app you'll swear you don't need but should ultimately find invaluable. There's the power liftgate and enlarged bumper steps that make it easier to get into the enlarged bed. There's the curious backrest storage bins in the back seat. The new Dynamic Fuel Management system can operate in one of 17 different variations of cylinder firing, meaning you can be running on as many as eight or as few as one cylinder at a time to maximize power and fuel economy. And then there are the new trim levels, including the off-road-ready Trail Boss.
Check out this 2019 Chevrolet Silverado video to see more of these new and improved features in detail.
