Video | CPO 2017 Infiniti Q50: Real World Review

If you’re looking for information on a newer Infiniti Q50, we’ve published an updated review: 2019 Infiniti Q50 Review

If you want all the style and comfort of a luxury sedan, but don’t want to spend big money to get it, you need to check out the 2017 Infiniti Q50. With its sporty handling, striking good looks and long list of safety features, it’s a solid choice for someone who truly enjoys driving. And if it’s a certified pre-owned (CPO) Q50, even better.

This well-equipped sedan comes in several different variations, but we’re checking out the Sport trim with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged V6 engine.

First of all, the Q50 is a lot of fun to drive. The acceleration and agile handling are similar to that of a BMW. We also like the fact that it comes in three very distinctive driving modes: Standard mode gives you refined handling and comfort, ECO mode sets you up for maximum fuel efficiency and Sport mode is for when you just want to let loose on the open road. See the 2017 Infiniti Q50 models for sale near you

While some aspects of the Q50’s interior may not feel overly luxurious, the optional maple wood trim adds a bit more sophistication. It also has a bit more front headroom and trunk space than the Lexus IS or Mercedes Benz C-Class.

The Q50 is all about the driver, and we like Infiniti’s I-Key, which includes remote start and helps you customize your drive time by remembering your seat position, preferred cabin temperature and favorite routes. Infiniti also included popular features that make daily driving that much more enjoyable, like an easy-to-use navigation and infotainment system. We just wish they also included Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into the mix.

The Q50 scored well in crash tests, and as for advanced safety tech — like lane-keeping assist and automatic braking — we found them to be more helpful than distracting.

Lastly, we need to give props to Infiniti’s CPO program. Each car goes through a 167-point inspection, comes with a warranty and there’s no deductible if you end up needing a covered repair. And that means you get new car peace-of-mind without the new car sticker price, which can save you thousands of dollars.

Overall, the 2017 Infiniti Q50 is a quick, stylish and fun-to-drive luxury sedan. Buying it as a CPO only sweetens the deal.
