Video | Doug DeMuro and Tyler Hoover Talk About Being a Car YouTuber

The world of the "car YouTuber" continues to expand, and I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of curiosity about exactly what is involved. So today, Tyler Hoover and I discussed what it’s like to be a car YouTuber on a new episode of "Hoovie and Doug Talk About Cars."

In this episode, we’re discussing what it’s like to be recognized on the street by people who watch our videos — an odd phenomenon — and why you have to be nice to everyone. We also discuss what our parents think of our car YouTuber careers and whether we think it’s weird that this is even a job we can have. I also give out some advice to potential car YouTubers, and we discuss which other car YouTube channels we like to watch. We also cover some of our annoyances with our job — because, yes, every job has annoyances.

Some may be interested in hearing about this, and some may not — and I concede that in this particular episode, I suppose Hoovie and Doug aren’t technically "talking about cars." But we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled car talk next week.
