I have a 1998 Odyssey EX with 267+k that needs tender care and a loving home. I'll be honest; my fallback is to sell this car to the California Buy Back Program for seniors which would give me between $1,500 and $2,000 for the car. But I'm offering it to the 1st gen enthusiasts to try to get a better price as I'm a senior on a limited budget and need to replace this car with a newer one. I would like to see this car go to someone who loves this 1st gen as much as I do and has the time and money to restore it to its former glory. It's cosmetically in very good condition, it just needs mechanical attention and I don't have the $ to invest. (Message me if you'd like the list I just got from my Honda mechanic of the work it needs) In general, the cosmetics are all good. The paint is still very good (clear coat still good!) although there are a few marks from our plastic garbage bins that I believe could be buffed out. The color is Blue/green. The interior (color gray) is in good shape as well. Seats and carpet are in good shape, no cracks in the dash, all buttons on the dash are in working order. A/C and heater both work great. The driver's window will only go down about 6 inches so it will need attention. I replaced the OEM radio with a nice Pioneer upgrade with CD player and USB media player and it has tinted windows. The rear hatch hydraulics still work great! Even the moon roof still works and no rust underneath as it's lived in southern California all its life! The engine still runs great and it's on its 2nd tranny which has worked good ever since the last tranny rebuild. This is actually one of two '98 Odysseys I have, and this one needs TLC on the seals and suspension and new tires. I'm keeping the other one. I'm asking $4,000 as I need it to replace the EX I'm selling. If I get no offers within 2 to 4 weeks I will utilize the California DMV Buy Back Program.
