ASKING PRICE IS $122,500 OR BEST OFFER BY OCTOBER 5,2018 The paint on this 2008 F430 is beautiful and the interior is jut gorgeous and the ceramic brakes stop the car on a dime. Just as important to its next owner is the cost and effort that has been expended to make this car mechanically trouble free. Most potential owners are unaware of the problems that are inherent to the 430 series, primarily associated with the exhaust system and clutch. Typically exhaust brackets fail resulting in the headers cracking. On this vehicle the exhaust brackets were found to be cracked at 8,697 miles while the car was being purchased by its current owner. All the brackets were replaced by the seller and visually verified by the owner thereby preventing the headers from cracking. Additionally the 430 muffler is prone to decomposing at any mileage resulting in the engine compartment being coated with a white dust. The dust is also expelled in the exhaust as a white fog. In early July 2018 this cars original muffler was replaced as it had begun decomposing. A new Tubi exhaust muffler system, built to order in Italy, was selected and installed at a cost of $5,830. https//aldousvoice.com/2015/09/11/ferrar i-f430-. Another problem is the premature wearing of the clutch. The remaining clutch life on this vehicle was measured to be 80% by Continental Motor Sports, a Ferrari dealership in Chicago, Illinois during an all-inclusive maintenance procedure. Copies of the maintenance invoice are available upon request. The maintenance performed by Continental Motor Sports was extensive with no issues discovered. The mechanic when thanked by the owner, was told you have a very good car. The Pirelli P-Zeros have 75-80% life remaining and a new battery has just been installed $350. The car is a pure delight to drive, sounds very Italian and turns heads wherever it goes.
