HUMMER H1 from Burn Notice: For Sale on AutoTrader

  • 2001 HUMMER H1 used on TV show
  • USA Network searched on HUMMER forums
  • Available for $45,000 in Miami Beach, Fla.

While most of our featured vehicles were owned by celebrities, this 2001 HUMMER H1 is a star in itself. That’s because it was used in an episode of USA Network’s hit drama Burn Notice, which follows the life of a former covert operations agent based in Miami. Now it’s for sale on AutoTrader.com.

According to Luis, the HUMMER‘s owner, he found out that USA Network needed to use an H1 through an Internet HUMMER forum. Since the show is filmed in Miami, Luis — a resident of Miami Beach — offered up the H1 for a few days of filming.

“I thought it would be cool to see it on TV, and since I don’t drive it much I gave it to them,” said Luis, who admitted that he hadn’t watched the show before contacting the USA Network. “They were really careful with it and it came back perfect. Sometimes I still watch the episode it was on.”

It’s easy to see why the Burn Notice crew zeroed in on Luis’s H1. The exterior is finished in a highly distinctive Ocean Blue paint scheme, while other features include roof-mounted driving lights, brush guards and oversized wheels that give it a prominent appearance. The truck also boasts distinctive HUMMER styling thanks to 90-degree corners and HUMMER spelled out on the tailgate.

While Burn Notice didn’t show the inside of Luis’s HUMMER, he says the interior is immaculate, with all items working properly and few showing major wear. That certainly looks to be the case in the photos, and Luis says it’s in especially good shape considering its odometer reading of more than 93,000 miles — a lot for an H1, says Luis, since they’re mostly used as weekend toys or third vehicles.

But to Luis, and to many other H1 owners, the miles shouldn’t be a problem considering the truck’s turbodiesel engine, which is known for longevity if maintained properly. If you feel the same way, consider purchasing Luis’s truck, which is available for $45,000. Who knows, its film career might not be over yet.

What it means to you: The HUMMER H1 is already a unique off-roader, but Luis’s 2001 model is even more special thanks to its previous use on USA Network’s Burn Notice TV show.
