Detailed Vehicle Information

The more details your provide, the more activity your listing will receive.

Trim refers to both exterior and interior options that enhance a base model. (Ex: Ford Mustang GT or Honda Accord EX)

Trim levels can increase the value and functionality of a vehicle, as well as improve its appearance.

Most passenger vehicles are defined by their number of cylinders or pistons. You can usually find your car's number of cylinders on the white sticker inside the driver's side doorjamb or under the hood near the radiator bracket. The number of cylinders gives some indication of the size and power of the engine. Most vehicles have 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines. Hybrid vehicles use electric motors and gas engines to reduce fuel consumption and increase torque. Electric vehicles rely solely on electric motors for power.

Transmissions are either manual or automatic, with several subsets of automatics. Some automatic variations include CVT, Dual Clutch and Shiftable Automatic.

Gasoline and diesel are the two primary types of fuel. Some vehicles also run on electricity, compressed natural gas, hydrogen or biodiesel. This is usually listed in the owner's manual.

There are four primary drive types: front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Most cars are front-wheel drive, but many sports cars, trucks and SUVs are rear-wheel drive. There's no standard way to identify your drive type, so you can leave this field empty if you aren't sure of your vehicle's type.

A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a 17-character sequence of numbers and letters assigned to each car by the manufacturer when the car is built. This number can be found in these places:
