The G80 M3 Competition gets more power (503 HP / 479 LB-FT) and 8-speed automatic transmission, which reduces the 0-60 time to 3.8 seconds compared to 4.1 seconds on the base model M3. The M3 Competition models can also have an optional xDrive drivetrain. Adding AWD to the M3 allows it to utilize all the power more efficiently, resulting in supercar-like acceleration and a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds.

One of the most advanced features of the G80 M3 Competition xDrive is its ability to switch from AWD to RWD. The standard xDrive setting features a rear-wheel biased power distribution, and the sport mode sends even more power to the rear wheels.
