1998 Lexus ES 300. It's old, but has ran consistently and with love it will continue to work reliably for you too. If you want a cheap, simple car that gets you from A to B without drama, this should do. While I owned it I put a new alternator in since the old one was getting weak. Including my Autosock snow chains with this for free. At this age and price not everything is perfect. The rear suspension is weak and I recommend regularly checking the fluids because cars this old leak. Currently I have this car's spare on since I flattened the previous tire on that spot.
