Up for sale is my 2000 Honda Insight Hybrid Hatchback 2D. This green exterior, gray interior vehicle is in good condition with 194,325 miles on the odometer. It features a 3-cylinder VTEC engine, 1.0 liter, and a 5-speed manual transmission with front-wheel drive. This is a unique color as Honda only produced a few hundred of these Citrus Yellow Metallic versions during the initial production year in 2000. I've driven and maintained this car and it has always been incredibly reliable. The hybrid battery was replaced in December 2024 with a Greentec 8.0 AMP Hour battery that includes a 36 month transferable warranty. The battery has a Hybrid Automotive Prolong Battery Grid Charger connection and the sale includes the charge/discharge equipment for maintaining your battery. This is a very near stock OEM car and an excellent example of the unique engineering and design that Honda put into this concept. The vehicle shows the usual signs of age and use including wear on the driver's seat and steering wheel. There is a cosmetic crack in dashboard front plate as shown in the photos. The synchros in 2nd gear are wearing out as usual on these cars. The General Altimax RT43 tires still have the the majority of their treadlife. The car was repainted in 2017 with the factory color.
