Single-owner 2003 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe 2-Door with 169,000 miles and high-end 3.0L V6 Engine - starts and runs but will require transmission service. Recently replaced the engine with the same model engine (J30A4 3.0-liter, 24-valve, SOHC VTEC V6) - the currently installed engine was pulled from a 2005 Accord with 140,000 miles. Radiator is less than one year old. Alternator is less than two years old. Two warm-up/pre-catalytic converters recently replaced with Honda OEM parts, each is less than one year old. Interior is in great shape with leather, power driver seat. Powered windows and moon roof all working. Key fobs lock and unlock the car, trigger alarm, and open the trunk. The interior LCD-display backlight needs to be replaced but the audio runs through a newer Pioneer car stereo unit with Sirius XM-tuner. Leather on steering wheel needs replacement and the headliner needs to be tightened in a few areas. There is some body panel damage on the front driver-side corner panel and the rear driver-side panel, but the car still looks pretty good cosmetically given its age. Looks better than 7 out of 10 Honda Accords I see on the road from the early-2000's. The only reason I am selling this car is Napleton Honda of Morton Grove identified the transmission is slipping, rack and pinion is leaking, and the right front lower ball joint has play. These repairs are not worth the value of the car because I can't do the work myself. The transmission was rebuilt two years ago, and the car never really recovered from this repair. I believe the mechanics did a poor job rebuilding the transmission, and it is time to turn this beautiful car over to its second owner. If you plan to purchase this car, it can be safely driven to your destination, but it will need immediate transmission work. If the transmission is repaired, the owner will have a fully-functional Honda Accord with an engine with only 140,000 miles and a whole bunch of new parts.
