At first, the pairing might not make much sense until you remember how much easier it is to get in and out of a vehicle that places the seats even with your hips. The XLE and Limited trim employ a hybrid engine setup pumping out 236 horsepower. In contrast, the luxury-level Platinum trim gets Toyota's Hybrid Max, which uses a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and electric motors to generate 340 hp. The combined fuel economy for the XLE and Limited averages out to around 41 mpg, while the Platinum returns a less impressive 30 mpg.

Optional only on the Platinum is a two-tone paint treatment that covers the hood, roof, rear deck, and surrounding taillight trim in gloss-black paint.
