In contrast, the luxury-level Platinum trim gets Toyota's Hybrid Max, which uses a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and electric motors to generate 340 hp. The combined fuel economy for the XLE and Limited averages out to around 41 mpg, while the Platinum returns a less impressive 30 mpg.
