8 Great Used Coupes Under $10,000 for 2019

An affordable coupe can be a great way to get a sporty ride without breaking the bank. Whether you want a fun performance car or a practical, front-wheel drive car disguised as a sports car, there are plenty of good coupes on the used market to fit a wide range of tastes.

Here are eight great used coupes you can get for under $10,000 in 2019.

2005-2014 Ford Mustang

2005-2014 Ford Mustang

The sweet spot in affordable Mustangs right now is the S-197 generation that ran from model years 2005-2014. Most of the Mustangs you find at this price point are V6 models, but it’s possible to find V8-powered, higher-mile examples with 4-digit price tags. The Mustang got a nice face-lift for the 2010 model year adding a more modern look and those cool sequential turn signals in back. The 2011 model brought with it a big update to the V6 with stronger performance and better fuel economy, which we recommend if you can find one at this price point. Find a Ford Mustang for sale

2010-2013 Kia Forte Koup

2010-2013 Kia Forte Koup

It’s spelled funny, but the Kia Forte Koup, which has since been discontinued is now a strong value in used coupes. This Kia has a strong reliability rating and a low cost of ownership. The 2-door variant gives you the practicality of a front-wheel-drive compact car and the sporty styling of a coupe. The first-generation Forte was a big improvement over the Spectra it replaced for its sharp design and improved overall quality, which helped to make drivers start to look at Kia a little differently. Find a Kia Forte Koup for sale

2011-2016 Scion tC

2011-2016 Scion tC

Before the demise of Scion as Toyota’s youth-oriented brand, one of its best-selling models was the tC, a sporty, FWD coupe. Since it was already pretty affordable when it was new, used examples can be found fairly easily for under $10,000. It got a face-lift for the 2014 model year and most tC models you find at this price will be pre-face-lift. The tC was generous with standard features including a standard sunroof and a standard knee-airbag for the driver, which was uncommon in the tC’s day. And of course, you get the reliability and low cost of ownership you can expect from a Toyota product. Find a Scion tC for sale

2003-2007 Infiniti G35

2003-2007 Infiniti G35

The Infiniti G35 coupe was like a luxury version of the sporty Nissan 350Z. It used the same engine, but had the perks of a luxury car like nice standard features and technology. The Infiniti philosophy of combining luxury and performance is well represented in the styling, performance and interior of the G35. We love the driver-focused cockpit of this Infiniti that might make you feel like you’re in a more expensive European luxury coupe. If you like the idea of the G35 but would like 4-door practicality, the same car was available as a sedan. Find an Infiniti G35 for sale

2008-2013 Nissan Altima Coupe

2008-2013 Nissan Altima Coupe

The fourth generation of the Nissan Altima was the only one to ever offer a coupe variant. The coupe does a great job looking distinctly different from its sedan counterpart and even borrows some design cues from Infiniti. This coupe is fairly easy to find at this price point on the used market and we recommend opting for the more powerful V6 engine over the base 4-cylinder if you can find one. The inline four isn’t a bad engine, but the V6 gives the Altima Coupe the muscle to back up its athletic appearance. Find a Nissan Altima Coupe for sale

2000-2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

2000-2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Because of the dry spell of Chevrolet not building any Camaros between the 2003-2009 model years, there aren’t a lot of sub-$10,000 modern Camaros out there. In lieu of the temporarily absent Camaro, Chevy offered the Monte Carlo, which was FWD, but still had muscular styling and even an available V8 in the 2006-2007 model years. The sixth and final generation of the Monte Carlo (especially the SS) is now a good coupe bargain on the used market and has the distinction of a roomy back seat making it a surprisingly good family car. 2008-2012 Honda Accord

2008-2012 Honda Accord

You may think of the Honda Accord as being a very un-sporty family sedan, but the coupe version of the 2008-2012 Accord had quite a different look and attitude than its 4-door counterpart. Although it looks different and has fewer doors, the Accord Coupe still has the many virtues of the Accord sedan like rock-solid reliability, low ownership costs and good fuel economy. The enthusiast’s choice is a V6-powered Accord Coupe with a manual transmission if you can find one. Find a Honda Accord for sale

2007-2013 BMW 3-Series (E92)

2007-2013 BMW 3-Series (E92)

One of the best values in used luxury sport coupes is the BMW E92, which offers agile and composed handling and great engine choices. The look of the E92 is aging nicely today and we think it’s a design that looks newer than it is. It offers the refined, driver-focused interior you’d expect from a BMW, but its iDrive infotainment system can be a bit finicky. Enthusiasts will love the smooth manual transmission available that makes every drive in an E92 a delight. Find a BMW 3 Series for sale
