CPO 2017 Infiniti Q50: 10,000-Mile Service

After driving over 2,000 miles to and from the frozen tundra that is upstate New York, our CPO 2017 Infiniti Q50 was due for its 10,000 mile service. Occasionally these service visits might require owners to pay out-of-pocket for their oil change, tire rotation and whatever else is required at the time, but thanks to Infiniti’s certified pre-owned program, this service visit was complimentary. Apparently, Infiniti offers owners of CPO vehicles their first two service visits free of charge, which is just another benefit of their robust certified pre-owned program.

Checking In

Upon pulling into the service department at Roswell Infiniti, I was greeted by a friendly service representative who assisted me with checking in the Q50. While running the VIN number, we discovered that there had been a recall regarding the ECM, which they could reprogram but which might make the visit slightly longer than expected. The service representative stated it would take approximately an hour and a half to handle the recall, in addition to the 10,000 mile service. I approved the fix and made my way to the waiting area, where comfortable seating and a large-screen television would keep me occupied while the service was completed.

The Search for Snacks

Usually, I’m a scavenger when it comes to free food and coffee at dealerships, rifling through boxes of Krispy Kremes in search of the elusive strawberry jelly donut and pushing Keurigs to their absolute limits. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much in the way of snacks, and although the coffee machine was functional I only went for one cup. It didn’t matter much, though, as time passed quickly and the episodes of Law & Order on the 65-inch TV kept my attention until the Q50 was ready.

Done and Done

A little over an hour later, the Q50 was serviced, sparkling clean and ready for me to drive home. The entire visit included a multi-point inspection, tire rotation, oil change, wash and ECM update, which seemed like a pretty decent value given its slim price tag of $0. All in all, it was one of the easiest experiences I’ve had at a dealership from check-in to check-out, and it makes me appreciate our CPO 2017 Infiniti Q50 even more than I did before. Find a Certified Pre-Owned Infiniti Q50 for sale
