The Cadillac CTS is a midsize luxury car produced from <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2003/cadillac/cts" target="_blank">2003</a> - <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2019/cadillac/cts" target="_blank">2019</a>. Although available as a <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts?doorCodes=2" target="_blank">2-door coupe version</a>, the 4-door sedan of the CTS was the most common version. A <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/wagon/cadillac/cts" target="_blank">wagon CTS</a> is also available for model years 2011 - 2014. Starting in 2018, electronic traction, stability control, side curtain airbags and a backup camera were all standard safety features available on all versions of the CTS which contributed towards the car's 5-star crash rating. The CTS earns decent gas mileage as well since it is rated for 22 miles per gallon in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. While the base CTS comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder 270-hp engine, our editors feel the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/6-cylinder/cadillac/cts" target="_blank">3.6-liter V6 CTS 335-hp</a> engine offers a much more sporty and responsive experience and we'd steer you towards one of those. We rated the CTS one of the best used midsize luxury cars under $20,000 in 2022 and while it doesn't have the cache of European luxury sedans like BMW or Mercedes-Benz, the CTS is more than capable of holding its own. The main draw of the CTS however is the full-range of expected luxury features at a price cheaper than its European counterparts combined with a sharp and rewarding driving experience. This is especially true of the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/vsport" target="_blank">V-Sport</a> and CTS-V models. The V has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 capable of producing an incredible 640 hp that can reach 60 mph in a 4 seconds. There was even a limited-edition <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/v" target="_blank">CTS-V</a> Coupe produced in 2015 that boasted a 556 horsepower engine. Other trims of the CTS include the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/luxury" target="_blank">Luxury</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/performance" target="_blank">Performance</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/premium" target="_blank">Premium</a>, and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cadillac/cts/premium-luxury" target="_blank">Premium Luxury</a>.
