Key Improvements: The Ford Maverick compact truck has only one body style: a 4-door crew cab with a 4.5-foot bed. Ford provides the Maverick with two powertrain choices. Front-wheel-drive models are offered with a 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain with an EPA fuel economy rating of 37 mpg in mixed city/highway driving. A 250-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is offered for both front- and all-wheel drive Maverick trucks. The Maverick can tow up to 4,000 pounds and touts a 1,500-pound payload capacity depending on how it's equipped. Trims range from simple to sublime, and there's even an off-road-ready FX4 package for those who like to get dirty. Even the most basic Maverick features automatic emergency braking, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and LED headlights with automatic high beams. Moving up the trim ladder gets features like a heated steering wheel, bed- and cab-mounted 110-volt outlets, a power sliding rear window, and an 8-speaker Bang &amp; Olufsen sound system.

Model Updates: The 2023 Maverick adds the Tremor package with an advanced AWD system, more ground clearance, and an off-road suspension. The front-drive Lariat loses the turbocharged engine upgrade, leaving only the hybrid powertrain. For 2024, the hybrid powertrain becomes optional, leaving the more powerful turbocharged 4-cylinder as the Maverick’s standard engine.
