Following Honda's first two ever hybrid vehicles, the early 2000's <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/insight" target="_blank">Honda Insight</a> and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/hybrid/honda/civic" target="_blank">Civic Hybrid</a>, the CR-Z also traces its lineage to the classic <a href="https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars-for-sale/honda-crx-for-sale" target="_blank">Honda CRX</a>. One quick glance and you can see the design styling the two vehicles share. Weighing around 2,700 pounds, the CR-Z is lightweight, nimble, handles surprisingly well resulting in a unique driving experience for a hybrid. You should expect an average of between 31 - 39 miles per gallon in gas consumption. Unfortunately, the interior is cramped and the ride isn't sporty enough to really capture the hearts and minds of car shoppers. To this end, the CR-Z straddles the line between "just OK" fuel economy for a hybrid and not being sporty enough. We once called the CR-Z "one part go-kart, one part spaceship and one part hybrid." That isn't exactly a glowing endorsement.
