The Honda Element is a compact SUV/crossover produced from <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2003/honda/element" target="_blank">2003</a> to <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2011/honda/element" target="_blank">2011</a> and was known for its boxy styling, large configurable interior cabin space and storage space. Based on the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/cr-v" target="_blank">CR-V</a>, it featured suicide doors, a durable interior, and the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/awd-4wd/honda/element" target="_blank">all-wheel-drive Element</a> was a decent off-roader. The interior seats could be arranged in multiple layouts, allowing for almost any type of interior storage and hauling need you might have. There have been many Element owners who have modified and customized the interior of their vehicle to meet their road-tripping and storage needs. The rear-hinged half doors and split rear tailgate add a practicality to the Element that is perfect for those transporting pets, sports equipment or even for small businesses. Although the quirky styling was panned by consumers and automotive experts, the Element shined when it came to overall value not to mention overall reliability. Since there was only one generation of the Element, there is not a significant difference between the different model years but potential buyers should not expect the technology and safety features such as rear-view back up cameras that are standard in more recent cars. However, if you're looking for an affordable, utilitarian SUV to handle all your outdoor activities and camping needs, the Element may be just the SUV you need. The Element was available in the trims of <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/element/dx" target="_blank">DX</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/element/ex" target="_blank">EX</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/element/ex-p" target="_blank">EX-P</a>, and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/honda/element/lx" target="_blank">LX</a>.
