Used Kia Niro for Sale in Ames, IA - Autotrader

The Kia Niro is an ideal small SUV for those who’d rather maximize efficiency than off-road capability. The roomy Niro sits lower than most small SUVs and doesn’t offer all-wheel drive, but it’s also far more efficient. It’s one of the only vehicles to offer <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/hybrid/kia/niro" target="_blank">hybrid</a>, <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/plug-in-hybrid/kia/niro" target="_blank">plug-in hybrid</a>, and pure <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/electric/kia/niro" target="_blank">electric</a> powertrains. The Niro debuted for the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2017/kia/niro" target="_blank">2017 model year</a> and was fully redesigned for <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2023/kia/niro" target="_blank">2023</a>. With an accommodating interior, accessible pricing, and outstanding fuel efficiency, it’s no wonder the Niro draws attention. Besides the typical six airbags, the Niro comes standard with a driver’s knee airbag. Every Niro also has hill-start assist and a rear-view backup camera. Only available as a front-wheel drive vehicle, the Niro does not have an <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/awd-4wd" target="_blank">AWD/4WD</a> version. Starting in <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/2021/kia/niro" target="_blank">2021</a>, smart phone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto migrated to wireless by ditching the need for a wired connection. Given the safety features it includes, the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/lxs" target="_blank">LXS trim</a> is the best value for most drivers but the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/touring-se" target="_blank">Touring SE</a> and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/ex-premium" target="_blank">EX Premium</a> trims have the most premium features such as leather seats, heated/cooled seats, and Harman Kardon stereo system while the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/lx" target="_blank">LX (hybrid)</a> is noted for earning 53 city/48 highway miles per gallon. Other variations of the Niro include the <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/ex" target="_blank">EX</a> and <a href="https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/kia/niro/touring" target="_blank">Touring</a>. If you are seeking a small crossover but want a vehicle with excellent fuel economy, the Niro should be on your short list.
