Used Nissan Leaf for Sale in Bryant, AR - Autotrader

The all-electric Nissan Leaf is one of the best selling plug-in electric vehicles of all time, only surpassed by the Tesla Model-3 in terms of total units sold. First arriving in showrooms for the the model year 2011, the Leaf sold so well due to its affordable and budget friendly pricing, allowing it to compete for new car sales among EV and non-EV vehicles. Initially the Leaf had a modest driving range of only 73 miles but Nissan's engineering team gradually increased the vehicle's total drive range slowly over the following years. The 2017 model year has a 107 mile range, the 2018-2019 models have a range around 150 miles but by 2021 the Leaf's S Plus, SV Plus, and SL Plus top-end trims were able to travel up to 226 miles on a single charge mostly thanks to a 160-kW motor and 62-kWh battery powertrain. As the Leaf faced increased competition in the EV-space by competitors such as the Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia Niro EV, and Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan had to offer more safety, tech, and convenience features resulting in the Leaf's increased sticker price. The first generation was from the 2011 - 2017 model years, and the second generation started with the 2018 model year. For the 2021 model year, Nissan introduced a mobile app allowing you to control vehicle charging remotely and pre-cool or pre-heat the car as long it is connected to a charger. Charging can be done via either a 120-volt or preferably a 220 - 240-volt outlet. The Leaf has consistently received 5-stars for safety by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as the car comes with a variety of safety systems and driver assistance technologies. With Nissan's excellent reliability track record, the Leaf is a strong contender and if you're thinking about buying a used electric car, the Leaf should be on your short list. As of early 2025, we think the best used Nissan Leaf to buy are the 2020 - 2024 years.
