Built with a stiffer chassis, the GR86 derives power from a 2.4-liter flat-4 boxer engine good for 228 horsepower. A 6-speed manual transmission remains standard, with a 6-speed automatic as optional. Along with its improved performance, the second-generation GR86 includes advanced driver aids, such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, reverse automatic braking (automatic only), and lane departure warning. Upgrades for this generation include a larger 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, sport seats with larger bolsters, a digital gauge cluster, and a limited-run Trueno Edition featuring Sachs shocks, Brembo brakes, and custom interior and exterior styling elements.</p>
